The feature works with and without the time clock and can be valuable in situations where scheduled hours are changed or if someone has forgotten to check in or out of their shift.
How to allow employees to modify their working hours
Open the settings by clicking the ⚙️ icon in the top right corner and select the 'Schedule' tab.
Enable the setting called 'Allow employees to modify their working hours'.
Then, you can choose whether the changes should be sent for approval by turning on the setting 'Send corrections for approval before they are completed'.
How employees can request approval for changes
If the setting 'Send corrections for approval before they are completed' is enabled, your employees' changes to their working hours will be sent for approval.
Here's how it works from the employee's side:
The employee selects one of their previously completed shifts where the scheduled hours have passed.
Then, they scroll down and click the 'Modify working hours' button.
Here, they enter the changes they want to request for the shift.
To provide context, they can also write a reason for the change.
They finish by clicking 'Save new times', and the times are then sent for approval.
Note: If the shift has already been approved, the employee will no longer be able to edit their working hours. The same applies if it is an ongoing shift.
How to approve a shift change
To approve the changes to the shift, you need to:
Go to the time tracking section by switching from 'Schedule' to 'Time Tracking' in the top left corner.
Click on the blue button with 'X number of changes pending approval'.
Now, you can see the shift that was changed. Hover over the 💬 icon to view the comment from the employee.
Approve the shift by marking one of the 'Scheduled' start and end fields or the 'Edited' start and end fields.
Finish by checking the checkbox on the right and clicking 'Approve' in the top right corner.
After your approval, the shift's hours will be updated everywhere.

It is optional whether you want employees’ changes to be sent for approval or not. You can turn this on or off in the settings under 'Schedule', using the setting 'Send changes for approval before they are applied'.Can I delegate the approval process to someone else?
Yes, a person with a permission profile that allows creating and editing shifts will be able to approve changes like these. However, they can only do it from the schedule, as only administrators can access the time tracking page. This is because the page contains sensitive information, such as employees’ wages.
