Couvert - table booking integration

This guide explains how to activate the Couvert integration and how it works.

This guide tells you everything you need to know about the integration between Couvert and Workfeed. The integration itself is very simple, but questions can naturally come up along the way. You can find answers to all your questions below!

Setting up the integration

  1. To set up the integration, simply contact our chat support. We will generate an API key and a company ID, which will then be sent to you.

  2. Once you have received your details, go to Couvert and click 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Integrations' > 'Workfeed' > 'Connect'.

  3. Then, enter the API key and company ID from Workfeed.

    See Couvert's own guide here.

Activating the integration

Once the integration has been set up in Couvert, you simply need to enable the display of table booking data in Workfeed. You can do this via the eye icon '👁' on the right-hand side of the schedule view, where you activate 'Table booking data'.

If you have multiple departments, you need to make sure that the correct table bookings are shown in the correct departments in Workfeed.

You can set this up via Settings > 'Integrations' > 'Couvert' > 'Settings' > 'Match departments'. Here, you select which restaurant ID from Couvert should be shown in each Workfeed department.

Note: If, for example, you have one department for the kitchen and one for waiters, you can easily show the same table bookings in both departments.

How does the integration work?

View Couvert bookings in Workfeed

When you integrate Couvert and Workfeed, all your table reservations from Couvert are automatically collected in Workfeed. This allows you to create schedules that match the expected number of guests in your restaurant. You can see the daily number of reservations and guests directly in the schedule view below each day.

When you click the total number of guests for a day, you will see all reservations for that day as well as an overview of busy periods. Walk-ins are also shown in Workfeed, allowing you to see both the current number of guests in your restaurant and the number of staff you have on the floor.

View staff schedules in Couvert

Once Couvert and Workfeed are integrated, published shifts in Workfeed are imported directly into Couvert. This makes it easier to see which employees are working. In Couvert, you can map which Workfeed department is connected to which Couvert location, allowing you to ensure that only relevant shifts will be shown in Couvert. Based on the imported schedules, Couvert can automatically assign your staff to specific tables or sections, so they know exactly which tables they’re responsible for during service.
