What do I need?

To set up the integration, DinnerBooking must provide API access to Workfeed. To obtain this, you need to write to DinnerBooking:

"Hi, I am a customer of yours and would like to integrate with Workfeed. Could you provide API access to Workfeed?"

Once they have confirmed, you need to send your restaurant IDs to us, and we will handle the rest of the setup 💪

Activating the integration

Once the integration is set up from our side, you simply need to activate the display of table booking data. This is done by clicking the "👁" icon on the right side of the schedule view. When you click on it, you can activate "table-booking-data."

If you have multiple departments, make sure that the correct table bookings are displayed in the correct departments in Workfeed.

You set this up via Settings > Integrations > DinnerBooking > Settings > Match departments. Here, you select which restaurant IDs (from DinnerBooking) should be shown in each Workfeed department.

Ps. If, for example, you have one department for the kitchen and one for the waiters, you can easily display the same table bookings in two departments.

How does the integration work?

When you integrate DinnerBooking and Workfeed, all your table reservations from DinnerBooking are automatically collected in Workfeed, allowing you to create work schedules that match the expected number of guests in your restaurant. You can see the daily number of reservations and guests directly in the schedule view under each day.

When you click on the total number of guests for a day, you will see all reservations for that day as well as an overview of busy times. Additionally, walk-ins are also displayed in Workfeed, allowing you to see both the current number of guests in your restaurant and the number of staff you have on the floor.

  1. What information does Workfeed retrieve from DinnerBooking?

    Workfeed retrieves the following details from your reservations in DinnerBooking: The time and duration of the reservation, the name of the person who made the reservation, and any notes about the reservation.

  2. Who can access table reservations in Workfeed?

    All (employees, managers, and administrators) can see the table reservations.

  3. How often are the reservations updated in Workfeed?

    Table bookings for today and tomorrow are updated every 10 minutes. Table bookings for up to three months ahead are updated every half hour.

  4. Can I disable table reservation data for specific departments?

    Yes, you can decide in which departments the reservation data should be displayed. You can manage this in the integration settings (Settings > Integrations > DinnerBooking > Settings > Match departments).

  5. Can I connect multiple DinnerBooking departments with Workfeed?

    Yes, you can match different DinnerBooking departments with Workfeed departments. You can manage this in the integration settings (Settings > Integrations > DinnerBooking > Settings > Match departments).

  6. I can't see Guests/PAX under my schedule, how do I turn it on?

    If Guests/PAX data is not displayed automatically, you can enable it manually. On the right side above the schedule view, you'll find the '👁' icon. When you click on it, you can activate "table-booking-data."
