This guide tells you everything you need to know about the integration between the POS integration Fresto and Workfeed. The integration itself is very simple, but naturally, some questions may arise along the way. You can find answers to them all below!
Setting up the integration
To set up the integration, you need to contact us through support. From there, we will create the API key and CompanyID that will be used for the integration.
Then, send the provided API key and CompanyID to Fresto's support. They will complete the integration.
Activating the integration
Once the integration is set up with Fresto, you need to activate the display of POS data in Workfeed. You can do this by clicking on the 👁 icon on the right side of the schedule view. When you click the eye, you can activate 'POS data'.
If you have multiple departments, you can match the data displayed in Workfeed to the corresponding departments.
You can do this under: Settings > Integrations > Fresto > 'Match departments'.
Here, you match your Workfeed departments with the corresponding Fresto departments.
Benefits of the integration
When you integrate Workfeed with Fresto, sales data is automatically displayed directly under the schedule. By clicking on a sales figure, you can dive into insights such as:
Sales comparisons with similar days
Average revenue per guest (also requires a table booking integration)
With this data at your fingertips, you can create schedules that match the expected revenue, while also keeping an eye on your labor costs to stay within budget.
Tip pool
Tips are automatically imported from Fresto to your tip pool, allowing you to easily distribute them among the relevant employees.
FAQ
What data does Workfeed fetch from my Fresto account?
Workfeed retrieves each individual transaction from the connected Fresto account.
How often does Fresto send data to Workfeed?
Your POS data is synchronized to Workfeed every time a "merchant" reconciles the cash register for the day.
I don’t see any sales data in Workfeed – why?
There could be several reasons:First, check if the integration is enabled correctly. You should be able to see this by going to: Settings > Integrations, and checking for the green "integrated" marker next to the Fresto logo.
If the integration is enabled correctly, you should see sales data on days where data is available in your Fresto account. Data will only be visible on historical days or "today" if there are transactions present and the register has been reconciled by a "merchant".
If you don’t see any data but the integration is enabled, check if you see transactions in the connected Fresto account. If that’s the case, please contact our support team via chat on our website.
