How to use the Logbook

The logbook is a great tool to reflect on today and prepare for tomorrow.

Updated over 2 months ago

The logbook is a tool you and your employees (depending on your permissions) can use to reflect on today and prepare for tomorrow.

Throughout the day, your team can share entries such as "we ran out of milk" or "perhaps we should start offering oat milk, again several requests" to keep everyone informed of daily operations, problems, and ideas.

So whether you run one business or oversee multiple locations, our logbook feature allows you to stay on top of what's going on. Even when you're not around.

Finding the logbook

You can open the logbook by clicking on a date in the schedule view, both on desktop and mobile.

Configuring your logbook

Once you click on '📝 logbook', you will be able to create and/or change your input fields by clicking on the settings icon '⚙️'.

From here you can adjust the names of the input fields, select in which departments they apply, reorganize the order, or add/delete fields.

Using the logbook

Once your logbook is ready, you can start using it. When you open the log, you can click on a section to leave an entry. Anyone with the admin access level or a permission profile with access to the logbook enabled can view the logbook entries and add new entries themselves. It is also possible to leave multiple notes in one section.

Receive logbook entries by email

Workfeed's email reporting feature allows you to receive all logbook entries and important data in your mailbox at the end of each day or the morning after.
