How to chat with your colleagues

This article explains how you can easily chat with your colleagues directly in Workfeed.

How to make a chat

If you want to get in touch with one or more colleagues, just go to the top right corner of your home screen and click on the paper plane icon.

Once you've clicked on the chat, you have the following options:

  • Start a new chat.

  • Use the team chat with every colleague in it.

  • Access your old conversations.

Individual chat

You can choose to create an individual chat by clicking on the name of the colleague you want to get in touch with. After that, you can begin to write your message and send it.

Group chat

When creating a group chat, you simply tick off the people you want to include in your group chat. You'll also be able to give the group chat a name of your choice.

You can also create a group chat with people you are working with on a specific day. Right-click in the schedule on the day for which you want to create a group chat. Then select "Create group chat" to create the group.

Attach files, images, and shifts in the chat

Tap the + icon to the left of the text field to attach images, files, or shifts. You can send one or multiple files at a time and choose whether to include text or not. It is possible to attach several different file types, such as images, videos, PDFs, and CSV files.

You can also attach a specific shift, so it is always clear which shift the message is about. To do this, tap the shift and then tap the paper plane icon in the top right corner. After that, you can choose whether you want to send the shift to a specific colleague, the #All chat, or a group chat that you create yourself.

Reply to a message in a thread

You can reply directly to a specific message in a thread. This makes it easier to keep the conversation organized when several different topics are being discussed in the same chat.

To reply in a thread, click the message you want to reply to and select "Reply in thread".

Your reply will then be collected in a separate thread linked to the original message. This way, you can continue the conversation about that specific topic without interrupting the rest of the conversation in the chat.

If a message already has replies in a thread, you can open the thread to view the entire conversation and add more replies.

Manage chats and messages

In both individual chats and group chats, you have different options for managing your conversations and messages.

You can, among other things:

  • Reply to a specific message in a thread

  • React to messages with emojis

  • See who has read a message

  • Delete your own messages

  • Close chats you no longer need
